Day 121: Stay Little, Little Buddy

Since my semester is only eight days from being over (thank God!  Although I am not sure how I will get everything done...) it has been a little crazy around here.  I barely have time to remember to take pictures of Little Buddy, let alone post in this blog, but I am determined to keep going!  Just excuse how short and sweet the posts may be over the next few days.

It was a whirlwind day.  We managed to make it to BBC on time and then played at the playground.  Daddy was supposed to meet us for lunch, but then he was surprised with a work function, so we were lucky enough for Ms. T and T to join us.  The boys had a great time eating their quesadillas at Chipotle, though the workers are still mind-boggled when I have to order the full-size quesadilla instead of the kids-size for Little Buddy.  The kid-size just doesn't cut it for my Little Monster!  I keep waiting for his appetite to slow down like the doctor said would happen, but we are just not there yet.

After having fun with T at lunch, Little Buddy was worn out and took a great nap.  His naps are changing yet again.  He still falls asleep on the way home after lunch, and I still have to wheel him in the stroller, asleep, into the house.  He is still waking up angry around one, one-thirty in the afternoon, but now I can carry him upstairs, rock him for a few minutes, and then lay him in his crib.  He's been great about going back to sleep until nearly three!  It's been a real blessing for me as I try to finish papers for school and for him because he is so happy and well-rested once he wakes up!

We played for a bit after nap and then Little Buddy watched some Elmo while I got dinner ready.  Though he wasn't really interested in the salmon tonight, pumpkin yogurt oatmeal is still a favorite.

Yum, delicious and messy, a perfect combination!

I love it!

Daddy was nice enough to hang out with Little Buddy and give him a bath while I cleaned up the kitchen, took care of some laundry, and went back to paper writing.  Once Little Buddy went to bed, I was back to writing full force, but I still couldn't stop myself from taking a break and going in to check on my little man.

He always pushes himself in the corner to sleep!

I know it's a bit blurry, but the image still tugs at my heart.  My little boy isn't so little anymore, but I love seeing this big kid in his crib.  I've been surprised he hasn't tried to crawl out yet, but I'm ok with keeping him his crib for a bit longer.  It makes it seem like he'll stay little a bit longer.

Night everyone,

LBM
