Molars are going to be the death of me.
Little Buddy is cutting his two year molars right now and it is not a fun time for any of us. Even after a day of Easter egg hunting at school and an afternoon at Wonderwild, he was still grumpy this afternoon. I put on some Elmo for him to watch while I made dinner and it seemed to cheer him up a bit.
Unfortunately, over the course of the episode, he began to feel worse. By the time Daddy got home, Little Buddy had a fever and didn't want to eat anything. All he wanted was to be held. We finally coaxed him into a little food and water and he seemed to feel a bit better, so we headed up to take a bath. He loves baths, so the mere mention of one really lifted his mood.
As he stood at the tub, ready to hop in, all of a sudden he leaned over the tub and threw up the little bit of food we had gotten him to eat. Then the poor boy just sat down and cried. We felt so bad for our poor boy. However, once we got everything cleaned up and got him into the bath, our Little Buddy was back to normal, splashing and laughing and giggling. As we thought about it, my husband realized that this exact scenario had happened about a year ago, when the first year molars came in: Little Buddy got a random fever, wouldn't eat, got sick, and went right back to normal. Hopefully this tooth insanity is over soon. Anyway, here is a picture of Mommy and Daddy trying to cheer up our grumpy baby.
Pray that these teeth are done cutting soon!
Night all,
LBM
