Day 260: Playing with some Doh

It was a nice, quiet day around the house today.  We started off the day trying Little Buddy at 9:30 AM Mass.  We normally to to church at 7:30 AM, but he's been very rambunctious the last few times, so we decided to see how he did at a later service.  We were pretty impressed with him.  He did really well until Mass ran long for a few baptisms, so I think we will try this time slot again.  It was nice to actually be able to pay more attention in church to church, instead of having to run after Little Buddy the whole time.

Following church, we managed to keep a sleepy Little Buddy awake for a quick trip to the grocery store and some lunch.  After a little bit of Texans football watching, he was definitely ready for a nap.  He slept well and woke up in time for some Elmo before our stir fry dinner (one of his favorites!).

I did give him a bit of a surprise tonight.  We bought him some Play-Doh the other week but hadn't gotten it out to play yet.  We decided tonight might be a good night to try.  I would say he's now quite the fan.

He choose the yellow doh first.

"Hmm...it pulls apart..."

"Look Momma!"

Moving on to using tools with his doh.

There's an 8 there now!

Ok, so maybe I enjoyed myself too.  :)

He really loved manipulating the doh, and only tried to eat it a few times.  I think he could have played with it for hours, but we had to get ready for bed.  I will definitely pull it out tomorrow and I certainly see some Christmas stocking stuffers in his future.  He has numbers and shapes cutters so far, so next he needs some letters and some animals.  Well, we'll see if I can hold out until Christmas!

Night everyone,

LBM
