"Let's calculate how big the Buckeyes will win today!"
With all the excitement, Little Buddy was very impatient waiting for the game to start and had to find creative ways to entertain himself. First he tried wearing a diaper on his head:
And when that novelty wore off, he then decided to become a dog-riding sailor:
Chesney is such a good sport.
Finally, the wait was over. Little Buddy was ready to start the season off right. He seemed particularly moved by "Script Ohio."
"They're going to dot the 'I' Momma!"
We watched the first hour of the game while we ate lunch, but then it was time to turn it off as we had to head to our cabins in New Braunfels! Thankfully, we were able to stream the game live in the car, so we could at least listen as the Buckeyes went on to victory during our 3 hour drive. We needed the distraction since Little Buddy only took a 20 minute nap. Obviously, he was just too excited about seeing his friends to sleep!
We made it to New Braunfels and met up with our friends. This was the same group that we had camped with over Memorial Day weekend earlier this year. We were very happy to spent time with the C family and their two girls, the D family and their son, and the E family and their daughter. The kids always seem to love the communal living and having their friends right next door.
Settling in at the cabins.
E and Little Buddy enjoying a snack while wearing their football gear.
One of the many cats that found our cabins. It was hard to teach to the kids to only say hi and not to pet them.
Little Buddy trying to run outside after his bath to see his friends. Sorry bud, it's bedtime now, but they will all be there in the morning!
We had such a fun first day and the kids did great! We are all looking forward to tomorrow, when we are heading to a local park and swimming area.
Good night,
LBM
