"Let's get on that airplane, I'm ready to cheer on the Buckeyes!"
"Airplane, Momma!"
Starting his day with his morning cup of milk.
Due to flight prices, we unfortunately didn't get to take a direct flight into Ohio. We were willing to fly direct into Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Canton, but the prices were astronomical. In an airline move that makes no sense to me, it was actually cheaper (by half) to fly from Houston to Cleveland to Dayton and then rent a car to Columbus. Ridiculous!
Little Buddy wasn't a fan of the flight plan either. Honestly, he wasn't "bad" per se, but you just can't expect a two-year-old to stay still and entertained on a three hour flight, a thirty minute flight, and an hour car ride. By the time we finished with the air travel portion of our trip, Daddy and Momma were exhausted.
Debating letting Little Buddy ride to the hotel in the trunk of the rental car (just kidding!)
After a drive that consisted of a stop at Target (for diapers and wipes), Dick's Sporting Goods (for some Ohio State paraphernalia), way too many requests for water, and a kids' songs CD on repeat, we finally made it to Cbus. Little Buddy seemed to approve of our accommodations.
There's a full moon over Columbus!
After a great dinner at Columbus Brewing Company with some Marietta friends (thanks for coming out A, S, and B!), during which Little Buddy ate the giant "kid's sized" pizza all by himself, we took our little guy back to the hotel for a surprise...Grammy and Pop-Pop were there! They are going to watch Little Buddy while Daddy and I are at the game tomorrow. We were all very excited to see them!
Little Buddy in some deep discussion with Pop-Pop.
Following a bit of playtime, it was time for all of us to go to bed. Little Buddy wasn't very happy about sleeping in the Pack 'n Play, so he did spend some of the night in our bed. Poor guy was pretty tired.
Sleepy boy!
Now here is hoping that we all get enough sleep to get us through tomorrow! It will be a busy day!
Good night,
LBM
