Little Buddy and N getting some last minute time on the ramp.
However, Little Buddy decided that driving the next leg of the journey would really lift his spirits.
"Let's go, Momma! I can get us to Sesame Street in an hour!"
We decided to save the trip to Sesame Street and instead went to spend the morning in Gruene. Daddy and I had been there twice before Little Buddy was born, and it is one of our favorite little towns. It was nice to walk around and look at the town, but it will be even better when the kids are a little older (or if the adults could every get away by themselves for a weekend!). It would be nice to take advantage of the antique stores and wineries sans toddlers. The kids were pretty impressed with the Gruene Water Tower, the Dance Hall, and the Gristmill River Restaurant, where the food was very tasty.
Two of the main attractions in Gruene.
Little Buddy checking out a neat airplane at one of the antique shops. I am worried that either Daddy or Pop-Pop is going to take on another project and try to make one!
After lunch, it was time to head back home. We were grateful that Little Buddy slept for about an hour and a half on the drive and was in good spirits when he was awake. He was really getting into the kids music we were playing, especially his favorite song, "Allergies", which had to go on repeat several times.
Our happy little guy!
We had such an amazing weekend and are so grateful to have such amazing friends. We can't wait until the next trip!
Good night,
LBM
