Day 256: Daddy's Boy

Well, no vomiting during the night, but there was still very little sleep to be had around here.  Little Buddy woke up in the middle night, not sick, but distraught.  He must have had some type of bad dream or something, because all he could do was repeatedly sob for Daddy.  Daddy held him and rocked him, but as soon as we would we try to lay Little Buddy down, our sweet boy would wake up and cry for Daddy again.  At one point, he fell sound asleep curled up against Daddy's foot.

Morning had almost arrived and Daddy had to start getting ready for work.  We were able to get Little Buddy laid down in our bed and he was content to watch Daddy preparing for his day.  Soon, he did actually fall into a deep enough sleep that he was able to stay asleep.

Finally.

Unfortunately, today was his school day.  I decided I wouldn't wake him and, if he slept late, he slept late.  I woke up and got ready just in case Little Buddy did feel up to going to school.  Surprisingly, he did wake up and did ask to go to school.  Of course, once we got to school, he had changed his mind.  He clung to me and cried.  He almost made me cry!  Eventually, though, he sat down to color.  

When I went to pick Little Buddy up, however, it was evident he had a bit of a rough day.  Though he had played and participated, he had asked for me all day.  He was still tired though, an napped until dinner time.  A very happy and well-rested boy emerged.  We ate and played and took a shower, and pretty soon our little guy was ready for bed.  Maybe tonight he will be tired enough to sleep!
