Day 254: Back in Town and On the Go!

After a night of real sleep, we were up and ready to go this morning!  Little Buddy's rash hadn't gotten any better, so thankfully the doctor was able to get us in this morning.  It turns out that his heat rash had been irritated into a yeast rash.  The cream best used to treat it was very expensive, but thankfully our doctor had a full-size sample tube that she gave us!  Yay!  We are already seeing improvement.

Following the doctor, Little Buddy and I ran several errands and then went to play at the mall a bit.  He was happy to drive the cars and then insisted on taking a ride on the tiger at the carousel.  Since he had been such a good boy at the doctor, I was happy to oblige.

Speed racer!

We then met Daddy for lunch.  I guess we are back to our grilled cheese schedule!  Once we finished lunch, we headed home for Little Buddy's nap.  I did some laundry and tried desperately to clean up a bit before our new babysitter, Ms. M, came over.  Ms. M lives locally and has babysat for friends of ours.  She is also available for afternoons during the week, which is great.  She arrived at 2 PM and I showed her around a bit before Little Buddy woke up around 2:30 PM.  After I introduced them, I went to work on school stuff while she and Little Buddy played.  It was great hearing her interact with him!  They had a lot of fun and I was able to get a good deal of work done.  I think we will have her back during the week sometime soon.

Later on in the day, Little Buddy watched some football with Daddy.  He was very excited to see the "Tigers" (Bengals) play the "Birds" (Ravens).  I really need to work on this boy's football loyalty.  In any case, he loved watching them throw the ball and run.  He can love to watch it all he wants; I can tell you now that I will not do well watching my son play football.  There is no way I could watch him being tackled!  If he is built like me and his daddy, however, I probably won't have to worry about it.  He can stick to baseball...or swimming...or rowing...or even golf!  Any of those no contact sports, lol.

Anyway, we are glad to be back home and to be getting back into our routine!

Goodnight,

LBM
