Day 248: Playdates and Long Naps

Today we started our day by going over to have a playdate at Ms. C's with her girls, C and N.  Little Buddy was excited to see them, as he was already missing living next door to them during our Labor Day weekend trip.  While the kids played together, Ms. C and I took turns doing our training runs for the week.  It was hot and terribly humid, but it was much better without having to run with a stroller!  After we were done with our runs, I took Little Buddy out for some grilled cheese and home for his nap.

I was a little concerned when we got home because Little Buddy was still awake (normally, he falls asleep in the car).  Turns out that I didn't need to worry at all.  He feel asleep as soon as I got him in the crib and slept for a little over three hours!  He always picks the worst days to sleep in like this, because today was my first day of class for the fall semester.  Normally, we leave at 3:30 PM to meet Daddy at 4 PM so that I can drop Little Buddy off and then head to class.  Today, though, because I didn't want to wake Little Buddy up, Daddy drove home at 4 PM and I left as soon as he got home.  Little Buddy didn't end up waking up until about 4:40 PM!

While I was at class, Little Buddy and Daddy had a lot of fun.  Unfortunately, Little Buddy's molars were bothering him again and he didn't want to go to sleep.  It took a lot of Daddy cuddles and snuggles, but Little Buddy finally headed to dreamland, which is good, because tomorrow is his first day of school!
