Day 290: Belly Button Check-Up

Today was Little Buddy's follow-up appointment for his belly button.  It's been healing really well, but there is still a bit of swelling and redness, so I definitely wanted to make sure it is doing ok.  Of course, an early doctor's appointment meant getting out of the house on time.  Little Buddy likes to make sure that's a challenge.

I left the room for three minutes to brush my teeth.  Guess it's time to mop!

We did finally make it to the doctor's office.  All good news!  Everything is healing well and we come back in six weeks for a final check-up.  I was very happy with the news, but Little Buddy was unconcerned; he was just happy to play with the trains.

After the good diagnosis, I told Little Buddy we would celebrate by playing at the park a bit before going to get a celebratory grilled cheese.  However, the morning must have taken more out of him than I thought, because he was asleep by the time we got to the park!

Tired boy!

He did wake up pretty easily once he saw we were at the park.  After lots of fun and sliding time, we went to Jason's to enjoy some grilled cheese.  Then he got to fall asleep for a full nap.  He spent the rest of the day playing with Daddy and his airport playset while I was at school.

I can't believe what a busy week it's been and it's only Tuesday!  The rest of the week is packed too, so lots of fun to look forward to!
