Slide master!
Since we had a successful morning, I had high hopes for Little Buddy's nap time. Even though school has been out for over a week, I am still having trouble catching up around the house. It seems like every I get something accomplished or something cleaned, Godzilla strikes. Case in point:
I swear that my kitchen was clean. Then my toddler woke up.
His nap was short and he managed to undo most of the cleaning that I had done while his eyes were (briefly) shut. Having a child really redefines your understanding of "productive." Some days my productivity is measured by how much I get done around the house or for school. Those days are rare. Most days are defined as productive if I managed to keep Little Buddy and I alive and unscathed for one more day.
Oh well, I guess I can wipe all the smudges off the windows and clean the refrigerator out and polish the furniture and scour the bathrooms once Little Buddy grows up and goes to college. The work will always be there. The opportunity to play "Toddler Grocery Store Mayhem" won't be around forever, so I think I'll pick that.
When I frame my day like that, it turns out that I had a very productive day indeed.
Good night,
LGM
Little Buddy's Momma
