Day 140: Iron Baby!

With the Texas Ironman going on around us today, it was only fitting that Little Buddy have his own intense triathlon of events:  swimming, birthday partying, and cheering on the Ironman participants!

We started the day with swim class, some errands, and watching a bit of the Ironman bike race.  Little Buddy was already exhausted after this first leg of his adventures, so we had to come for nap time pretty early.

After his nap, we went to C's second birthday party.  Little Buddy was pretty excited to play in the bounce house!

"What is this place?"

"I can jump around!  This is awesome!"

"Don't you wish you could be in here with me too?"

We had to leave the birthday party a bit early to head over to watch the end of the Ironman!  Our friend Mr. S had started his running portion and we wanted to go cheer on him and the other participants.  It was so exciting!

Of everything there was to see at the Ironman course, Little Buddy was most excited about watching the waterway cruiser!  He just kept yelling out "Boat!" and waving to all the passengers.  He hasn't seen many boats, so this was pretty amazing to him.  If we could all look at everything each day with the same sense of wonder, how much more meaningful would our lives be?

After enduring his personal triathlon, we crowned Little Buddy an Iron Baby and brought him home for a warm bath and a comfy bed.  He raised no objections.  :)

Good night,

LBM
