Hmmm...what can I do with this glove?
Dr. Buddy, on duty!
The first thing they took care of when we got into the examination room was the measurements. Results: 37.2 lbs, 37 3/4 in. long, and 20.5 in. head circumference. We were expecting him to be big, but not off the charts! He was in the 99th percentile all the way around. Our doctor said he was the size of an average four-year-old. Then, she calculated his possible adult height based on his current height and the height of my husband and I: 6'3'' to 6'5''! We could have one big, healthy boy on our hands!
It wasn't all fun and games, though. We did have to get a finger prick to check our iron (which was perfect) and a shot. He wasn't exactly pleased.
Little Buddy and his boo-boo. He was so brave! He also really liked his yellow band-aid.
I was just glad a Mommy kiss could make it feel all better.
He actually handled the shot and prick really well, especially after I offered him some grilled cheese and pineapple for being so brave!
The rest of the day consisted of errands, lunch, a visit to Petsmart (Little Buddy liked the birds), an alright nap (an hour and a half), and swimming with Daddy, it was time for dinner. Daddy made homemade pizza and Little Buddy was thrilled. He also had peas with his pizza. He really likes peas, but he prefers to eat his peas while we cheer for him. I'm happy to provide positive reinforcement for veggie eating!
The windup...
And the pitch! Yay peas!
We finished the day with a bath and some story reading before bed. He was pretty tired after a long day!
Good night,
LBM
