Day 184: Zoo Animals and Indians!

Even though Little Buddy went to bed late last night, he still managed to wake up at 6:30 AM.  I am not the biggest fan of that internal alarm clock of his.

Lounging around the hotel, reading his book.

Today was a big day, though, so I could understand his eagerness.  Today we were headed to the Cleveland Zoo!  Little Buddy loves animals, so we thought this would be a nice addition to the trip.  The zoo is HUGE!  We thought we would stay about 2 hours and ended up being their for 4!  Our little man got to see a bunch of new animals that he hadn't seen at the Houston Zoo, and he loved trying to say their names.

Hot times at the Cleveland Zoo!

Trying to stay cool so he can see more animals!

Little Buddy got to see his first koala bear!

Playing at the zoo

Kangaroos!

We didn't get to see the wolves, but Little Buddy found a statue he really liked!

It was hard to tell which one he liked more, the waterfall or the polar bear.

Exhausted after a fun zoo day!

He was pretty tired after the zoo (we all were!), but after a quick nap and dinner, it was time for our next adventure:  a Cleveland Indians game!  Grandma and Grandpa Tharp came up to meet us for Little Buddy's first trip to Progressive Field.  Even though Cleveland lost (so what else is new?), Little Buddy came out a winner with a new jersey, a Slider stuffed animal, his first pack of baseball cards, and some great memories!

Excited for the game!

Great panoramic shot of the ballpark.

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa!

Wearing his rally cap!  Go Tribe!

Little Buddy was a trooper and made it all the way to the ninth inning.  After that, he fell asleep on Grandma's shoulder and slept the entire way back to the hotel.  What a great end to a fun Ohio trip.  Back to Houston tomorrow!

Night all,

LBM
