Day 185: Sloop John B

After a comedy of errors this morning (and take my word for it, it was a rough morning), we finally made it to the Cleveland airport.  We were ready to head home and Little Buddy was ready to see the "air pains!"

"Wait, what do those dark clouds mean?"

However, since today was not our day, a storm hit just as we were about to take off.  Waiting on a plane with a two-year old is never pleasant, so we had to pull out the big guns.

Elmo!

After waiting an hour on the plane for it to pass, they decided to just have us deplane.  We had to wait around another hour before take off.  Thankfully, the airplane had a neat Rube Goldburg type machine that kept Little Buddy's attention.

When that no longer provided enough entertainment, we at able to find some grilled cheese and fruit to tide him over.

Even though it was a crazy day, we did finally make it home.  And once again, I learned a lesson from my Little Buddy.  Daddy and I might have been a bit stressed out over our disrupted travels, but our Little Guy didn't care.  As long as he had some snacks and his Momma and Dadda, he was good.  Nothing else mattered.  He kept smiling all day, somehow knowing everything would be alright.  May I be able to develop such faith and just know that everything will work out in the end.

"Don't sweat the small stuff, Momma!  Just smile!"

Good night,

LBM
