Day 194: Rain, Rain Go AWAY!

Another day of rain!  I was disappointed to wake up to another day of torrential downpours, but Little Buddy didn't seem to mind them.  In fact, the multitude of falling raindrops seemed to lull him back to sleep, as he slept in longer than I think he ever has.  It was nearly 8 AM before he woke up, softly singing to himself.

Unfortunately, the never-ending rain and the subsequent flooding kept us inside ALL morning.  I pulled out all the stops to try to keep Little Buddy entertained.  It kept him occupied, but it also nearly drove me mad being stuck inside.

Thankfully, I managed to wear him out enough to get a decent nap out of him.  I needed to do school work, but, after a day stuck inside with Little Buddy, the house needed some attention too.

I was able to get a good bit of work in and managed to get the downstairs cleaned up.  The upstairs will have to be tomorrow, because once Little Buddy woke up, it was time to go downtown for a farewell party for a friend who is moving away.

We had a nice time at the party.  Little Buddy was busy charming friends that we sadly don't get to see very often.  After a eating a quesadilla and sharing out lots of high 5s, it was time to get a sleepy Little Buddy home for bed.  Hopefully the rain lets up tomorrow and we can go play outside!
