Day 187: Rice and Beans and Other Things

Little Buddy and I didn't make it to boot camp this morning because we still had a lot of catching up to do around the house.  We spent the morning cleaning up and running errands.  It wasn't the most fun time, but it was needed.  As a reward, we met Daddy for lunch.  We went to Chuy's so Little Buddy could get a quesadilla.  His meal always comes with beans and rice, but he's never touched those before.  Today though, he was all about trying them!

It's amazing all the changes he's going through right now:  trying new foods, recognizing his alphabet and numbers, absorbing new words every day.  I hate to admit it as much as I love to watch it, but my baby boy is growing up.  It is so awe-inspiring to watch him become his own little person.  He's bright, happy, and talkative around my husband and I.  He's kind and sociable but a little shy around others.  He's becoming aware of everything and I am so humbled to be a part of all of this.  I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
