There is still a lot to be caught up on around the house, so my husband and I elected to make today an errands day. We drove Little Buddy all over the place taking care of business. He was a good sport about it, especially once he heard we would get Thai for lunch and he could have some egg rolls.
Afterwards it was nap time. Little Buddy definitely got a good rest because once he woke up, he was ready to break loose! He's not been able to play on his pirate ship much lately because we've been out of town and because it's been so hot. Daddy opened up the baby gate to bring some groceries in from the car and, quick as lightening, Little Buddy had run out the door, across the yard, and climbed up on his boat!
"Chesney, where's Little Buddy?"
"There he is!"
He was so desperate to stay on his boat, he wouldn't even slide! I think he knows we would catch him and bring him in to cool off!
Thankfully, Daddy was able to coax him down with promises of play when it cooled down. Then we went into the house where Daddy and Little Buddy conspired for a minute. The next thing I know, Little Buddy is headed my way with a present.
"Smell, Momma!"
"Wuv you!"
My sweet boy and I.
Then it was time for dinner. After we ate, Daddy and I got out a new surprise for Little Buddy: an electric toothbrush! Little Buddy hasn't been as excited about brushing teeth as he used to be (i.e., he won't open his mouth and he sometimes tries to bite us), but he loves to watch us brush in the morning. We though a fancy new brush might get him interested again. It worked!
Letting Daddy brush those molars!
"Let me, let me!"
Hopefully the novelty of the new brush won't wear off for a while! Our fingers were quite pleased not to have tooth marks in them tonight!
Night all,
LBM
