Playing around and waiting for his turn for a trim!
Snip, snip!
I gave him his water cup and he just sat pleasantly and got his hair cut. I was so proud of him for sitting still, I told him that we could take a ride on the carousel. Unfortunately, as held him while we waited in line to ride, I felt my stomach get very wet and hot. Yup, Little Buddy's bladder had once again filled up and needed to be emptied. Sadly, there was so much that he overfilled his diaper and leaked onto me. *sigh* Honestly, I can handle a lot of the dirty grunt work of being a mom, but I don't think I will ever get used to being peed on. Ever. After a quick diaper/clothes change, Little Buddy was relieved to finally ride the tiger.
Little Buddy was sad to say bye-bye to the tiger, but then happy to say hi to grilled cheese and nap time. When he woke up, he begged to go swimming, so we took a quick stroll down to the pool. He had a lot of fun playing in the kiddie pool with the other toddlers. He and one girl played catch for quite some time. I was so impressed by his sharing until the other girl brought out a noodle. All of a sudden the "mine-mines" showed up.
Toy hoarder.
I got Little Buddy back into sharing mode just as it started to sprinkle. We got out of the pool and stood under the shade covers, thinking the storm would quickly blow over. We were wrong! Pretty soon it was pouring and the shade cover wasn't working to keep us dry anymore, so they opened up the pavilion for us. Since Little Buddy and I had walked and because Daddy was still at work, we were stuck there while everyone else either drove home or caught a ride. We called Daddy and he headed back to get us, but he got stuck behind and accident and then had to find roads that weren't flooded to get to us.
Trying to stay dry.
Waiting on Daddy.
Even though it took Daddy awhile to get to us, I was so proud of Little Buddy for being patient. I had different plans for our evening together, but just hanging out with him and laughing in a rain storm turned out to be perfect.
So I leave early tomorrow morning for Costa Rica. I am very excited to start my internship, but I am going to miss Little Buddy (and his Daddy) like crazy. While I am gone, my husband is going to take over blogging again, and I can't wait to hear about their adventures together!
Night all,
LBM
