Day 156: Kitchen (Mis)Adventures

Because BBC was starting its earlier summer hours today, I worked very hard to make sure Little Buddy and I would be ready to go on time.  I packed everything up last night and loaded the truck.  I thought for sure that we would be able to make it out on time, even early!  But Little Buddy had other plans.  Turns out that he has gotten tall enough to cause some major destruction in the kitchen and chose today to display his talents.

Yup, he realized that he can reach the water dispenser now.  Both Little Buddy and my kitchen were soaked.  Mopping everything up definitely put us behind schedule.

Luckily, we still managed to make it on time.  After a good workout, Little Buddy got to play with his friends at the mall play area and then we had lunch with Ms. S and her son B.  It was a so nice to chat with Ms. S for a bit before heading home to nap.

Later on, once Little Buddy woke up from nap, we decided to make Rice Krispie treats.  Little Buddy really wanted to help so I let him stir.  This ended up in me receiving some marshmallow burns from his excitement, but he was overjoyed to help.

School starts again for me tomorrow, so we are going to enjoy the last day of break by meeting our friends at the pool tomorrow.  I think Little Buddy will approve of the plan.
