Day 157: Pool Days, School Days

Because my classes start tonight and Little Buddy's summer school program starts tomorrow, we decided to enjoy our last day of "break" at one of the local aquatic centers with friends!  We had a great morning and Little Buddy loved splashing around and floating in the lazy river.  He wasn't really a fan of the giant bucket that filled up and dumped gallons of water down on us the first few times it happened.  I would always grab hold of him so the water wouldn't knock him down, but he still would get scared.  He would cling to me, whimpering "Momma" until it was over.  Once he was sure that it was safe, I would get a kiss on the shoulder and he was off playing again.  To be honest, I didn't mind the extra hugs and kisses.  Or the long nap that happened after our busy day in the sun. Actually, the only thing I mind is school starting tonight...grumble, grumble.
