I remember getting ready to go try it out. Little Buddy had been one day shy of two months old, and I was still nervous about taking him out and about nursing him in public. But I desperately needed to work out again (it's what keeps me sane!) and this would be the only way I could do it without having to find a babysitter all the time.
Thankfully, Little Buddy and I manged to make it there and we loved it! I loved pushing myself again, he loved watching Momma doing silly exercises, and we both loved meeting so many other mommies and babies. Honestly, going to Boot Camp was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has inspired me not only to stay fit, but to challenge myself. How else can I explain the half marathons and mud runs I do now? It's the best kind of peer pressure!
Little Buddy also likes that we sing songs, count, make animal noises, and say the alphabet throughout the workout. I swear that's how he learned his numbers and letters so fast! I also hope it teaches him the importance of taking care of yourself, both by staying strong and by taking time for yourself. He always seems raring to go!
"Muscle time, Momma!"
The thing we are both most thankful for are our amazing friends. Sometimes it's hard living in Texas with a baby, away from family and the friends you grew up with. Here, though, it's like we have a whole new extended family. Without my bootcamp girls, I don't know what I'd do. They have inspired me, supported me, and kept me sane. Thank you all so much! Little Buddy and I are grateful that we found all of you!
Night all,
LBM
Little Buddy's Momma
PS: I will be in Ohio tomorrow for my sister-in-law's baby shower, so my husband will be guest blogging tomorrow!
