Day 221: Just a Day with my Boy

Today was one of those days where it was just Little Buddy and I.  None of our friends made it to Boot Camp today and Daddy had a work lunch, so we had our own little date day.  I like days like this because we can just concentrate on each other.

We spent the morning at the mall buying birthday gifts, riding the tiger on the carousel, and playing at the tree.

We got to play longer because we didn't have to pick up Daddy.  It also meant I had to change a record number of diapers!  We then walked over to Panera to get some lunch.  It was nice to have all his smiles focused on me as he chowed down on his traditional grilled cheese and fruit.

Little Buddy ended up taking a good nap, though he must have had dreams of Uncle C, since that is who he demanded when he woke up!  We did manage to get a phone call in with him before heading to the pool.

Because it was Great Grandma's birthday, Little Buddy wanted to send her a kiss.  I think we captured the moment pretty well.

A sweet end to a fun day.
