The alligator slide and the new jump pillow at Wonderwild. He wanted nothing to do with the jump pillow, but he was all about the alligator slide...as long as Mommy went down with him.
Climbing around! He did demand for me to come up with him several times.
Banana break
My little concert pianist found a piano and had to play for Mommy.
When we left Wonderwild, we were both exhausted! I admit that I feeling a bit perturbed on the ride home about Little Buddy's constant need for my attention today. I was tired and had things I had to take care of and just wished that he would entertain himself for a bit. Why did he need me at all times?
Then I started to think about it differently. Little Buddy wants me with him because he is just discovering the world and wants to share it with me. Everything is amazing to him and he wants me to be a part of his wonder. What a privilege! How much am I going to long for this involvement when he is a teenager and doesn't want to tell his mom about his day, when I am begging for details? I got a little teary thinking about this, I'm not going to lie. No more complaining for me about my baby boy wanting to spend time with me. It may mean more long nights for me to complete other tasks, but I think it will be worth the sacrifice.
It was probably good I made this decision on the drive home, since he only took an hour nap today. Oh Little Buddy!
Good night,
LBM
