Hanging out on the caterpillar before going in to see the "but-ter-fys."
Walking into the butterfly house.
"...like the soft, soft whisper of the butterfly." Little Buddy's having a Mr. Brown Can Moo moment.
"I see it Dadda!"
"Hi butterflies!"
Little Buddy was more impressed by the waterfall in the Butterfly House than by the actual butterflies!
We then went to the new Hall of Paleontology. For geeks like my husband and I, this place was awesome! Although doing two areas of the museum was pushing it a bit, Little Buddy did enjoy seeing all of the fossils.
Very interested in the Dimetrodon's teeth.
Checking out the collection of petrified wood.
Little Buddy, Daddy, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Loved, loved, LOVED the mammoth. Sadly, the gift shop didn't have any stuffed mammoths. Happily, Amazon does. Guess what's in the mail? :)
The gift shop did have dino masks though! Roar!
The trip wore Little Buddy out and he fell asleep on the drive home. Unfortunately, that little rest seemed to be all he needed as he woke up as soon as we got home! No rest for the weary (parents), I guess! We played at home for a little bit, but then decided to take advantage of some 30% of coupons for the outlet mall. I had one little teary moment when I we got Little Buddy sized for new shoes: 8.5 already! Where did my little boy go? We shopped until we nearly dropped and then caught some dinner.
My Not-So-Little Buddy chowing down on pizza.
It was a long day, but it was a great day of family adventures. I love days when we can spend so much time together!
Good night,
