Day 220: Trying to Get Out the Door

So I've often mentioned that it is a struggle getting out the door in the morning.  Little Buddy can certainly drag his feet getting ready in the morning, and today was no exception.  Once I got the truck loaded, I herded him outside.  I put the diaper bag in the car and reached down to pick Little Buddy up...only to find he wasn't there.  I looked back at the door and found this:

"Hey, Little Buddy, it's time to go!"

"But Mamma, I'm reading!"

"Just one more minute.  This is a really good part!"

I did finally manage to get him in the truck and we headed out.  First, we went to the drop some clothes off at the tailor for alterations.  I had been putting this off for awhile, not knowing how Little Buddy would handle waiting at the tailor while I got fitted, but it took a lot less time than I thought and he did great!

As a treat, I took him to the Children's Museum for the rest of the morning.  Ms. J came with K and K, so Little Buddy had a lot of fun playing.  He even got into the "dirt" pit, which he normally doesn't favor.

Loving putting dirt in the dump truck!

When it was time for lunch, we went with Ms. J and her boys to get some food.  It was a lot of fun having lunch with them, and Little Buddy couldn't stop giggling at the older boys' antics.  He asked for them the whole drive home too.

Since we had started the day a bit behind, lunch and nap came late.  I wasn't sure how Little Buddy would react to the schedule change, but he actually took a decent nap.  I hope he continues the trend tomorrow!

Night all,
