Day 85: My Little Handyman

Little Buddy started the day with a lot of energy, making church quite the experience.  We had to take our little wild man outside for a bit to let him run off some energy.  It barely depleted him, so we let him walk around in stores with us as we did our errands after Mass.  Unfortunately, that worked a little too well.  Once we finished our errands at Target (where we ended up unexpectedly purchasing items for Will's pirate themed second birthday in June because everything was on sale) and Toys R Us (where we were surprised to stand in a line for the door to open due to the new Skylander release.  We didn't even know that existed until today), we hopped in the car to head home.  Little Buddy then fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot!  This was not good, because he hadn't eaten yet or gotten his diaper changed, meaning that he would wake up hungry as soon as we got home.  We weighed our options and opted to wake him up and eat an early lunch at 10:30 AM.  I hopped in the back seat to annoy him awake, while my husband sped over to Panera.

It worked.  Little Buddy got food in his belly and a clean diaper, and then passed out for a few hours.  When he woke up, he got to go outside and work on the pirate ship with Daddy and Uncle C.

"Hmm...I don't know if I approve of this slide..."

"I'll just have to try it out."

"Yup, it works!"

After a bit, he headed into the house with me to help make dinner while Daddy and Uncle C did some of the heavy work toddler-free.  Little Buddy felt the need to check up on them when they were done.

The foreman is pulling up...

The foreman is checking out the tools...

"I've got to go take some measurements!"

Thankfully, he approved of all the work done so far.  I love watching my Little Handyman grow up!

Night everyone!
