Day 61: Fun with Friends

Today Little Buddy and I headed downtown today for a play date with friends at the Children's Museum.  We had a great morning hanging out in the toddler area.  Little Buddy especially liked playing on the slide and in the cars.

We then took a walk in the beautiful weather over to Cafe Express.  It was a bit of a challenge setting up tables for eight mommas and eleven little ones, but we are becoming quite the experts at it.  Though we are always concerned with how our brood may disturb other customers, we actually had quite a few people come up and tell us how great our kids were and nice it was that we had such a good group of moms to spend time with.  I completely agree.  Little Buddy and I are very fortunate to have met such a wonderful group of friends!

Of course, after such a busy day, Little Buddy fell asleep as soon as we started our drive home.  I was hoping he would stay asleep once we got home, but he started to rouse as soon as we got to our exit.  Ugh.  Well, we needed to go to Target anyway.  Little Buddy was talking the entire time we pulled in the parking lot, but as soon as we parked, he went silent.  Surprised, I looked back.  He had fallen back asleep!  Hmmm...should I go home and risk waking him up when we get there and then having to come back to Target?  Or should I wake him up and go into Target and hope he falls asleep when we drive home?  I looked at my passenger seat and saw one of my textbooks for school.  I opted for option C, reading in the parking lot until he woke up, then go into Target, and then go home.  It actually worked out well!  I need to keep bringing readings with me for just such an occasion.

The rest of the evening was pretty routine.  We had dinner, Little Buddy used his play food to make banana, waffle, plum, and butter soup, and then we threw the ball for awhile while Chesney didn't go retrieve it.  Just a normal, wonderful day.

Night everyone!
