Day 71: Happy 21st!

Today was Little Buddy's 21st birthday (month, that is!) I don't even want to think that far ahead to when he turns 21... Since this was our last full day of Guys Only Weekend, Uncle C decided to come up for lunch and stay the afternoon. Before he came up, Little Buddy and I went to Lowe's to pick up some things for his playhouse that we are currently working on. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in, a monsoon started! We went around the store a few times picking up things here and there until we finally got a break in the rain to dash out to the truck. The big purchase today was the slide for his playhouse pirate ship. I can't wait to get it finished and see him play on it!

 

 "Can we go home soon, Dad? I am almost out of water!"

Once Unc-da (as Little Buddy calls him) got here, we took off for lunch. We went to Chuy's and since it was Little Buddy's birthday, I let him have a few bites of his push pop from his kid's quesadilla meal (Daddy usually eats it all!)

"Cold but yummy!"

Once we got home, Unc-da and I started working on our next batch of home brewed beer (in honor of Little Buddy's 21st birthday, of course!) Of course Little Buddy wanted to help!

"I will hold the funnel while you pour! Ready, go!"

My wife comes back home tomorrow and I can't tell you how excited we are for her to get back. I have really enjoyed these few days of just Little Buddy and I though and I have had fun guest blogging on here. I will be back in 3 months when my wife has to go to Costa Rica for an internship.
