Day 352: Cheddar Biscuits and Gingerbread

Dear Little Buddy,

I love sharing things with you.  I love working out with you, and coloring with you, and reading to you, and just being with you.  You are so much fun and I love all the energy and excitement you have.  It makes me more excited to wake up in the morning, just to see what the day will bring.

Today, after our normal routine of boot camp, lunch with Daddy, and naptime, I got to do with one of my favorite things with you: cook!  I always used to love cooking with my Mommy so it brings me a lot of joy to continue the tradition with you.  Today we made some cheddar biscuits to have with the chicken tortilla soup we had cooking in the crockpot.  You are such a great chef!

Mixing up the dough.

Getting ready to put them in the oven!

Afterwards, we worked on another Christmas craft.  The dollar bins at Target have been providing a lot of our holiday fun this month.  You really liked decorating the gingerbread men for the garland.  We hung them up for Daddy to see when he got home.

Once Daddy got home, it was time to eat!  Our biscuits turned out great and the soup was delicious.  I always love watching you eat, Little Buddy.  You really love most food, and you really, really seem to like soup!  Especially spicy soup, like your mommy.  I love watching you try new things.

Pretty soon it was bedtime.  It amazes me that you are still in your crib, even after learning how to climb in and out, but if that is where you feel comfortable, I feel no need to rush you out.  I think you just like sleep and don't care too much where it happens.  Plus, it lets me hold onto the illusion that you are still my little baby.  ;)  Watching you cuddle under your blanket with your head on your pillow is one of the best parts of my day.  Thank you for being you!

Love you so much,

Mommy
