Day 336: Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Well, it's December 1st already!  Not sure how they year passed by so quickly, but it has.  It's hard to believe that this is my last month with this blog AND that I am 30 days away from truly keeping a New Year's Resolution.  Wow!

What's even harder to believe is that Christmas is right around the corner.  Being from Ohio, my body naturally associated Christmas with cold and snow (and ice and slush).  Here in Texas, it's still hitting 80 on some days!  Thankfully, several events today helped to get us in the Christmas spirit.

To start the day, Daddy and Little Buddy treated me to a morning at the spa, which I loved.  While I was getting pampered, my two boys went to Home Depot (aw, so sad I missed that errand!).  It turns out someone else was there as well!

 Santa!

Little Buddy was so excited!  We were also excited because Little Buddy didn't show any signs of the Santa anxiety he had last year.  Maybe we will actually get a good picture with ol' St. Nick this year.

Little Buddy was in such a Christmas-y mood after that, that he decided to wear his Santa hat for the rest of the day.  Our holiday plans continued by heading downtown to meet our friends to go to Zoo Lights at the zoo.  We were excited to check it out and stopped at one of our favorite restaurants to grab a bite before the fun.

Enjoying some grilled cheese before Zoo Lights!

Then, before we knew it, some more Christmas magic happened...Santa was at the restaurant!  Little Buddy was awestruck!   Two Santa sightings in one day?!?!  It was pretty amazing!

Hi Santa!  Good to see you again!

We then headed to the zoo to see the lights.  We knew it would be busy, but it was packed!  The lights were beautiful and we had a lot of fun with our friends.  I was surprised Little Buddy stayed awake the entire time, but he did!

Our friends have more pictures of the night.  I will post those when I get them so that you can see the rest of our adventure!

Good night,
