Day 345: Santa Visits, Bean Time, and Cha-Cha Slides

A cold front moved in last night, so Little Buddy got to try out his new winter coat this morning.  I think it will keep him warm for our Ohio trip later this month.

All bundled up!

We then went to boot camp (held inside at the mall because of the weather), did a few Christmas errands, and then met Daddy for lunch.  After we finished eating, we decided to check on the line to see Santa.  Finding no line, we decided it was the perfect time to get Little Buddy's picture with Santa.  Thankfully, I had been keeping his Christmas hat and sweater in the car for just such an opportunity!

Santa and Little Buddy!  Even though Little Buddy was happily chatting with Santa before the picture, we just couldn't get a smile once the camera came out.  Oh well, at least he's not screaming this year!

Later on this afternoon, Little Buddy wanted to assist me in making dinner.  Since we were making turkey burgers, there was only so much he could do to help.  In order to occupy him, I opted to let him play with dried black beans.  This was both a fantastic and terrible idea.  Little Buddy loved it, and it kept him busy for over an hour.  I, however, will probably be finding black beans around the kitchen for the next week!

The Aftermath: My bean covered floors!

We finished our day with a little dancing.  Little Buddy had really enjoyed the "Cha-Cha Slide" at the Christmas party the other day, so we downloaded it to play for him.  I think he has a new favorite song!

I think we may have to make nightly dance offs part of our regular routine.  Plus, Little Buddy will be the hit at every wedding reception if he already knows the Cha Cha Slide!

Good night,
