Day 45: The Happiest Days Are When Babies Come!

Today started out wonderfully as my best friend gave birth to her first child!  She went into labor last night and the little guy made an appearance around 7 this morning.  Little Buddy was so excited to hear about his new friend, he wanted to make an immediate phone call welcoming him to the world!

Since we had celebrated Valentine's earlier, the rest of our day was pretty low key.  First we went to play at the mall playground.  I was happy to see that Little Buddy has become a pro at the slide!  He normally just tries to climb up the slide, forgoing the stairs.  Today, it all clicked and he was a slide monster!

Then we picked up Daddy and had lunch together.

He looks angry, but he was actually puckering up for kisses.  My little valentine. :)

Then, once we got home, Little Buddy gave me a great Valentine's Day gift.  First, he slept for two hours and let me read.  Then, once he finally started to wake, I picked him up and he promptly fell asleep in my arms.  An hour of cuddle nap?  Yes, please!  There is nothing better.

I love him.
