Today Little Buddy and I went downtown with some of our friends. The plan was to get a run in and then head into the zoo. Of course, traffic was crazy (Houston drivers get a little nuts with the barest amount of rain) so we got there a bit later than we intended. By the time we finished our run, it was time to eat. We ate outside the zoo at some picnic benches and played on the swings.
Little Buddy was a pretty big fan of swinging. Unfortunately, after that, he started to get grumpy and managed to pull a stroller down on himself (he's fine, but hopefully he learned not to try to climb up the back of the stroller). I knew then it was nap time. Sadly, we had to leave without going into the zoo and seeing our other friends that were there. It was the right decision though, as Little Buddy passed out about two minutes after being buckled into his carseat. He certainly wouldn't have made it through a zoo visit today.
Once we got home and woke up, we just played until Daddy got home. Little Buddy is so excited to see Daddy when he comes home that he waits at the window for him. This is the sight my husband is greeted with each day he gets home:
How could you not have a great day after seeing this? :)
Goodnight,
VTB
