Day 315: Hiya, Pete! Bye-Bye TV!

Little Buddy has so many little games he likes to play right now.  One of my favorites is "Hiya!", in which he pulls a blanket over himself, removes it, and waits for you to say, "Hiya, Little Buddy!"  Then he giggles like it's the funniest thing on earth and the process starts over.  I love it!

Little Buddy had a fun day with Uncle C while I was busy both with school stuff and a Mud Run with Daddy.  Once Daddy and I got home and got cleaned up, Little Buddy and I worked on his Choo-Choo ABC puzzle.  He did a great job about finding the letters and putting them in the right order!

The other big news of the day was Little Buddy's obsession with his new book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes.  He had enjoyed reading this book at a friend's house, so Daddy and I got it for him.  The good news is that he loves it!  The bad news is that, between Daddy, Uncle C, and myself, I am pretty sure we read it a grand total of 30 times today.  That is not an exaggeration!  Little Buddy loves Pete!

Although it got a bit tedious, I was glad to keep him distracted with books and puzzles today.  You see, even with only watching the Today Show and one other show (either Sesame Street or Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood), Little Buddy is still managing to develop a television addiction.  I really don't like him demanding television or the blank look his face gets while he is watching it, so we are going to try to limit it more (although I am sure Daddy will still fit some football in on the weekends!).  I will miss the news, but so be it.  It was great having a TV-free day for Little Buddy today!

Ending the day with Pete the Cat.  Of course. :)

Night all,
