Day 12: Toddler Time, for Better or Worse

So Little Buddy is definitely a toddler now and working hard at asserting his toddler independence.  He laughed and giggled loudly through our walk, refusing to fall asleep until we'd gone about three times as far as we normally do.  Then at lunch and dinner, he would ask for food, we'd give it to him, and he would then spit it out while alternately laughing and screaming.  He doesn't know what he wants!  But I guess that just comes with the territory.  :)

In any case, even though he's a bit nuts sometimes, this age is really fun.  He loves to play and talk, and we had a great day.  He actually slept until 6 and I am hoping that is here to stay.  We then went to story time at the library, picked out our library books for the week, met daddy for lunch, did our chores at home (he was a very good helper with emptying the dishwasher), and played with toys.  Also, I had the privilege of having Little Buddy take a nap on me for a bit.  It is a rare occurrence these days, so I cherish each opportunity I get.

Anyway, here are some scenes of the day:

Playing with his basketball after waking up this morning.  Note his "cool dude" sunglasses.

And here are some getting ready for bed shots (taken because I had a quick panic attack thinking I had forgotten to take pictures of him today.  I had already forgotten about the morning basketball shots).

Now I am feeling sleepy too!

Night all,

LBM
